Attended Cremation
Pray Funeral Home knows that families want to be assured that cremation services are carried out in the most dignified manner. That is why our cremation services packages all include the service of one of our trusted staff members accompanying your loved one to the crematory and witnesses the entire cremation process and returns to the funeral home with the cremated remains the same day. Your deceased family member never leaves our care
Pray Funeral Home also offers the opportunity for family members to accompany their deceased family member to the crematory in the same way that family members accompany the deceased to a cemetery in a traditional funeral.
WHAT DO WE DO WITH THE CREMATED REMAINS?
You have several choices for disposition of the cremated remains.
Interment - Many families choose to inter the cremated remains on a family lot in a local cemetery. This assures that the loved one will be commemorated or remembered with a marker or monument, similar to monuments that are erected for heroes, or famous people in our country. And who else but a beloved parent or grandparent deserves recognition in the eyes of loving family members?
Possession - You have the option to take the cremated remains home. Some people feel comforted holding them in the home for a time. When the family is ready the cremated remains can be placed in a cemetery lot or columbarium niche at the appropriate time in the future.
Keepsake - Some families divide the cremated remains into separate portions for each family member to hold or have placed on their cemetery lot.
Scattering - Cremated remains can be scattered on a special spot that has meaning in the memory of the deceased. Local and state regulations may prohibit this is many areas. Some religions such as the Catholic Church have strict guidelines for proper care of cremated remains that prohibit this option.
Burial Under The Sea
One option that is gaining popularity is having a person's cremated remains cast into a reef ball. A reef ball is a concrete dome cast with holes in the sides and sunk in designated areas in the ocean in the coastal waters of the United States. This enables a person's cremated remains to encourage growth of natural reef habitat for marine life. The placement is marked by GPS coordinates that are shared with the surviving family members.
A reef ball can either be cast with a single person's cremated remains incorporated into one structure, or a person's cremated remains can be cast into a "community" reef ball along with several other individuals. In either case a bronze plate is cast into the reef ball with the individual's name and dates engraved upon it.

We deliver all flowers and items to your luncheon or post service gathering. Our Cremation Attendant will then transport your loved one to our trusted crematory where they witness the cremation so your loved one does not leave our care. The cremated remains will be returned in your choice of one of our Heirloom Urns. We will also arrange the final resting place of the cremated remains. We bring your loved one into our care and provide the professional services of embalming, sanitization and dressing in our secured facilities. We then place your loved one in our Ceremonial casket for two hours of visitation in the comfort of our funeral home.
Our creative and professionally trained staff will meet all of your requests and coordinate the funeral event in the most suitable manner for your family.
During the services, we will use our Standard Video Services and your choice of Memorial Package with Acknowledgements. We deliver all flowers and items to luncheon or any other necessary location.
Our Cremation Attendant will then transport your loved one to our trusted crematory where they witness the cremation so your loved one does not leave our care. We will return the cremated remains in one of our Artist Urns.
We will assist in coordinate any necessary details for the final resting place of the cremated remains.
