Arliss Leone Creller

May 23, 1930 - April 29, 2022

Arliss Leone Creller, age 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 29, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Arliss was born on May 23, 1930 to Nile and Velma (Harry) Allerding in Hastings, Michigan. On January 22, 1955, Arliss married the love of her life, Arthur Joseph Creller, Jr. They were married for 52 years until his passing in 2007. Arliss enjoyed spending time with her family and playing and joking with her grandchildren every chance she had. She loved attending the sporting events of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to cheer them on. Arliss enjoyed gardening with Arthur, especially working in the strawberry patch. She enjoyed going up north on vacation to enjoy and relax by the lake. Crocheting afghan blankets for her family was a hobby she enjoyed. She also loved watching westerns and suspense movies. Arliss worked at Wilcox-Gay Manufacturing in the 1950s in Charlotte, Michigan, then moving on to Michigan Magnetics for 17 years in Vermontville, Michigan, to then retire to spend time with her grandchildren. Arliss was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Creller; her parents, Nile and Velma Allerding; her brothers, Neil, Merton, and Theodore Allerding. Arliss is survived by her children, Phyllis (Larry) Stevens, Nancy Odette, and Steven (Lisa) Creller; grandchildren, Tracy (Eric) Loveland, Tara Creller, Arthur Chupp, Henry Chupp, Steven (Rachel) Creller, Austin (Jacey) Creller, and Holden Creller; great-grandchildren, Cole Creller, Kaylee Nickel, Ayden Stanton, Piper Loveland, Hoyt Stanton, Addilyn Creller, and Chloe Creller. Friends are encouraged to support Arliss' family at visitation and funeral services. Funeral services are Thursday, May 5, 2022, at noon at Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte with Pastor Charles Jenson officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, from 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be webcast so you may watch it from any computer, smartphone, or mobile device that has internet access.
