Dr. Gerald Anthony Schlueter

Dr. Gerald Anthony Schlueter, a brilliant and creative engineer who stuck to his goal until achieved, died March 2, 2019, in Eaton Rapids. Jerry, 76, was born May 11, 1942 in Buffalo, NY to Albert and Dorothy (Then) Schlueter. He loved Cheerios, Coke, orange juice and babies, and had great interest in his nieces and nephews. One of his favorite things to do was to shower them with gifts at holidays and birthdays. He was employed by Mitre as a Defense Satellite Engineer and was extremely proud of the contributions he made to the military satellites of his country. He was a student of God's word, and lived according to his convictions derived from his studies. He loved the banter with his twin brother about MSU vs. Purdue always knowing they enjoyed each other's company, and had strong mutual respect and love for each other. Gerald is survived by his loving brother, Robert (Karen) and his family, and was predeceased by his parents. Friends are encouraged to support Gerald's family at visitation and funeral services. Funeral services are March 14, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Charlotte with Rev. Jim Eggert officiating. Visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to the funeral at the church.
