Marjorie Louise Pilbeam

March 23, 1925 - November 15, 2018

Marjorie Louise Pilbeam, 93, of Charlotte, died peacefully on November 15, 2018 in Charlotte. Marjorie was born March 23, 1925 in Eagle, MI, the daughter of Roy Philo and Myrtle Ruth (Fry) Satterlee. She graduated from Charlotte High School in 1943 before attending college. Marjorie married Edward Edgar Pilbeam on March 22, 1953 at Lawrence Avenue United Methodist Church in Charlotte. She settled into raising children alongside a career at REO Lawnmower. She then worked as secretary in the office of Dr. Severner before serving as a dietary aid at Eaton County Medical Care Facility. Finally, she worked at Coast to Coast Hardware, retiring in 1990. Marjorie and Ed were active members in the Charlotte 7th Day Adventist Church. She volunteered many hours in the church office and at Eaton Clothing Bank. In her spare time, Marjorie enjoyed working in nature, especially tending her flower gardens. Above all, she was proud of her family. Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Debra Pilbeam of Lansing, Carol Patrick of Charlotte and Sandra Zank of Charlotte; 6 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Ed; son-in-law, Dennis Zank and siblings, Marian Wilkinson, Marie Brainard, Roy Satterlee and Deloris Rice. Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Charlotte Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Jerryn Schmidt officiating. Visitation is from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the church, just prior to the service. Interment will take place in Maple Hill Cemetery, Charlotte. If desired, the family suggests memorial contributions to Eaton Community Palliative Care. Friends and family are encouraged to share memories of Marjorie on her Tribute Page at www.PrayFuneral.com. The family is in the care of Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
