Scott Richard Nichols

February 20, 1953 - November 18, 2021

Scott Richard Nichols, who enjoyed helping people, of Charlotte, died November 18, 2021. Scott, 68, was born February 20, 1953, to Roy Edsel and Patricia Ann (Cale) Nichols. Scott worked as a tradesman at General Motors for 32 years on the night shift as well as doing snow plowing. He was a hard worker and took great pride in his work. His compassion for helping people led him to serve as a guardian for many individuals. Scott loved being around his family and loved his GM family. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, speed boating, camping in Northern Michigan, and attending Renaissance Festivals. Scott is survived by his siblings, Laura (Bryan) Thompson, and Jim (Cindy) Nichols; nieces and nephews, Kimberly (Nate) Smith, Travis (Bee) Thompson, Tyler Thompson, Kaela Nichols, and Casey (Elizabeth Tengler) Nichols, Kim (Scott) Spaw, Michelle (Mike) Cruz, Rachel Nichols, and Joshua (Angel) Nichols; and great-nieces Shelby Spaw, Casey Jo (Sebastian) Krieger, and great-nephew Martyn Cruz. He was predeceased by his parents; his sister Maureen Nichols; and brothers Bruce and David Nichols. Friends and family are encouraged to support Scott's family by attending services or sharing memories on his tribute page at www.prayfuneral.com. Visitation is Wednesday, November 24, 2021 from 10-11 a.m. at Pray Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow at 11 a.m. at Pray Funeral Home with Rev. Fr. Dwight Ezop officiating. The funeral will be webcast so you may watch it from any computer, smartphone, or mobile device that has internet access. Go to www.prayfuneral.com, click on Scott's tribute, then click on Photos and Videos from your computer (or Media from your smart phone). Memorial contributions are suggested to The Gilmore Car Museum. The family is in the care of Pray Funeral Home.
