Viking Ship Casket
Pray Funeral Home is developing a unique option for individuals and families who choose to be buried or cremated in Viking tradition. A casket based upon the design of the Osberg ship shown at left in the Viking Ship Museum in Oslo Norway. Seafaring ships were occasionally used as grave ships for notable members of the Viking society. The ships were often pulled ashore, and used in elaborate funeral ceremonies as outlined in a recent Blog article by Joe E Pray. Pray Funeral Home's Viking Ship Casket will be suitable to use for services that may include burial or cremation. The design will be compatible modern standards for either burial or cremation.
