unique funeral vehicles
The fleet of vehicles the Pray funeral Home uses while caring for families are very unique. Each one is designed for a specific purpose to meet the unique needs of funeral services and the higher standards that Pray's uphold.
Our Cadillac State Coach was designed and built by Bennett Funeral Coaches of Grand Rapids with the help of Joe E. Pray. This Coach is the very first of it's kind and has become the benchmark of the professional car industry. It's most outstanding feature is the full glass design, that allows the casket to be viewed while in the Coach.
Our Cadillac Limousine was also designed and built by Bennett Funeral Coaches with the help of Joe E. Pray. It's most outstanding feature is the painted hard top design that other manufacturers have not been able to build successfully.
Our 1937 Lasalle Carved Side Coach is a fully restored specimen of a rare automobile. It is thought that only one or two other may still survive. This car was fully restored by Bennett Funeral Coaches and is used for funeral services at Pray Funeral Home. Many people may have seen this award winning automobile at auto shows around the state of Michigan.
Pray Funeral Home is also pleased to be affiliated with the Hometown Hearse Company, the provider of a unique Motorcycle hearse combining the design of a Harley Davidson Trike pulling a historically fashioned horse drawn style hearse. This wonderful tribute to those who loved the wind in their face on the open road is available for any procession through Pray Funeral Home.
cremation aRk
Ceremony has always been woven into the fabric of our lives. Pray Funeral Home provides to those families who choose cremation the Ark.
The Ark is used to transport the cremated remains of their loved one to the graveside and add to the dignity of the committal ceremonies. Family members often serve as "ark bearers" in a final tribute.
When earth burial is not the final disposition for the cremated remains, the Ark is used to hold the cremated remains for a simple presentation ceremony at the funeral home.
"As with all the services we provide to the families we serve, dignity has always been the focal point and the Ark is one way we are able to add to that dignity," states Joseph Pray.
